Latest... still no update on the car that no one can seem to locate! Apparently the dealer get updates every 3 hours so they have promised to update us if they hear and are calling tomorrow to 'discuss options'. Enjoy tomorrow Aucuba... yours has always been a week ahead of mine so maybe I shouldn't be so concerned, it's more the fact no one seems to be able to say where it is!!

I feel for you Gemmadoll. Just to give an alternative view - I am not so sure the dealers and Audi UK are that well joined up. If you remember I received an email from each (within a few minutes of each other). The dealer said the car was in Emden and Audi UK said it was on the ship - it was in fact in the UK!! My dealer was adamant their information was correct and Audi's was wrong.To add to this I just this minute got an email from Audi UK saying my car is at the dealers and they are starting PDI - my dealer contacted me on Tuesday saying it was there!!
Bottom line is its difficult if not impossible to believe anything. Only time you know exactly where the car is when the dealer calls to say they have it.

Glad to hear it's not just me - what has your dealer said? Yeah I'm waiting to sell mine, but haven't wanted to because not had any kind of firm date. Hope yours comes soon!!

I don't know if this helps or ease you not hearing anything

but they say that if your car number say 5 and the ship your going to be on say carry 5,000 cars you will then have to wait for all the cargo is loaded say your number 5 and some one else is number 4,995 you been waiting days yet mr 4,995 has just turned up
that 4,995 is loaded nearly right away so there turn around is a day yours could be a week or more depending the size of ship etc
the bigger the ship the longer wait at both ends
and it's not just waiting for Audi either there all the vw group so not just say Q7 but from another part of Germany could be say A3 then another part A6 or another part VW golf
if the ship is 3/4 full it then has to wait for next load to turn up then checked in at dock then customers drug search all sorts

SO ITS JUST HUGE LUCK HOW QUICK

i know it don't help but least it gives you an idea why some are quicker than others

its also the same on the train you could be loaded right away or just missed one then first on yet then you have to wait for train to be loaded etc then first off but just missed a boat etc

just missing a boat is worse as not only do you have to wait for the next but then you have to wait until it full

Remember that. I sold my car two weeks after placing the order. It was in such good condition I wanted to sell it before I duffed an alloy! - BMW replaced all 4 alloys 3 times due to a lacquer issue. Was great getting rid of those scuffs

3 months with no car!

Dare I say if, but yes it is thanks. Been getting some use out of it in the last few weeks too. Not a peep of a rattle since January so seems to have done the job.

Now the car is really quiet again apart from my youngest daughters car seat.

I've told her she needs to grow out of it quickly! Unfortunately I think it's about a year off.
