pre dyno run put it at 120 (the 'standard' power) then the decat and remap put it at 186 .. all engines are different, and while it doesnt have big money into it, it does now have three separate 'performance' mods so to speak.. the fact i done pretty much a full service only a couple of weeks ago probably helped it out too

im not too bothered by the numbers, i know dyno graphs are inaccurate, but the increase between the two dynos are what im happy with, and i can definitely tell the difference on the road.. which is what counts

    Glad you're happy , but a 66 hp gain !

Torque is a little low especially if dyno is over reading a tad , but it peaks at 3676 , most should be around 2300 . Especially also considering the egr delete and an operating egr would rob the turbo of low down spool .

It's really odd , not what I would expect .

yeah thats fair enough.. if you're right and the torque is a little low/late.. what would cause this and how can i rectify it?

Don't know , that's why I'm scratching my head , the hp and torque increases haven't gone hand in hand .

Yes you can get high hp and low torque maps to protect the clutch , which is the case for me , but 186 hp sounds too far fetched especially where the norm is 115 to 145 - 150 .

looking at the graph.. the original torque was also low, the increase between the two torques look similar to the hp increases.. maybe there is an underlining issue affecting the torque?

any idea what that could be? i know things like mounts help you put the power down faster like torque, but would that affect a dyno reading?

    I wouldn't of thought so .

Now Celtic Tuning like Awesome GTI have dyno's that are too generous giving a false pub willy waving figure .

They are easily caught out as their before runs are high .

Here with CT 115 , isn't 120 it's 127.7 so when it remaps to a generous 166 you can see my issue with 186 .

Here's their graph the torque curve doesn't lie...

"The 1.9 TDi 115bhp utilises a VNT Garrett Turbo charger and side mounted intercooler which provide good performance from the PD engine. We utilise torque limiters in our modified software to ensure the engine speeds reach 2,250rpm before bringing in maximum torque, this ensures a higher lbft torque figure to be achieved whilst maintaining clutch life. "

Stock torque peaks at 2231 rpm .

Now remapped 2808 rpm torque peak is late for a PD , but they designed the map that way .

My clutch saving remap is around 2350 so again your 3676 is weird .

to be honest i think it may be a reading/graph error.. as the lines do match up in terms of patterns and similarity, and driving the car it seems to take off around 2k - 2.2k

ill try look into it anyway but a quick look about on google, i cant find anything to suggest why torque would peak late

That's good you feel the torque come in early .

Another solution is another dyno , are the truth..
