    i have vcds but only one i got from ebay but i can read codes but nothing else

    hi, sorry for long delay, the temp was 88-90c. i thought i would change the stat as i never did it before but now i have no heating front or back. i tryed draining and doing again but still no heating

    run car & put the heater on the hottest setting, put the fan for the heater on full speed

    let the car run for 10 to 15 minutes and you have to make sure the temperature on dashboard is showing 90


    This is a rule of thumb for all cars, you may have use bleed nipples located at various points if fitted
    VW POLO 2002 1.2 12v , Audi A6 2006 2.0 TDi SE , Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi

    All 3 cars in the current fleet

    Post 1998 VAG temp gauges are useless, the typical readings will be 90 at a real temperature of anywhere between 72 and 117... We were working on an A4 last week waiting for the fan to come on using the lap top to view the temp and it did not come on until 102 which is correct but the gauge still said 90.

    i now have heat front and back . there was a blockage is the hose going to the expansion bottle. now the gauge is moving up then back to low. but still crap on fuel.
    can the gauges read wrong and still have fuel left. the center display is flashing refuel now but fuel light not on on the gauge

    You have to know where the level is in the tank and use full VCDS to help you work out what is wrong.

    hi, thanks for the help, seems a bit better now, secondry water pump has stopped working but new bushes in my draw just waiting for better weather. then i had a split pipe on top rad pipe. car gets warm quicker now aswell but mpg still not great. about 400 miles to full tank
