Myaudi PIN not recognised by the car

The title says it all, I have a data card in the car and the mapping stuff seems to work, but ,and a big but, I've sorted it all with Myaudi and it's given me a PIN, i've found where to put it but all i get is a message saying "incorrect PIN or not connected to the server" I am obviously connected as the weather, fuel prices and everything else works ok. Why does it say i'm not connected?

You have to create a my Audi account.

To do this, you have to log into my.audi.com, and you will see the PIN code there. This will be the PIN code you have to enter to have the "Audi connect" features. The reason you see a lots of thing is that these are not specified for your car, but available for all "Audi connect" equipped cars, but to have the traffic data, the online addresses you need an account, and that's what you can create in the my.audi.com page.

By this, honestly I don't know what is the PIN code you mentioned, but probably that's the pin code for the SIM card, which should be entered only once if you select to "remember the PIN code" in the telephone settings.

Thanks for the feedback however i do have a Myaudi account and the traffic works ok. What the 'pairing' of car to my audi account does is give more functionality for example i needed some new addresses adding to the car nav system, now this is easier on a laptop than the car so i added them to myaudi account and then they synchronise with the car after the PIN is entered. My problem is that the car is not accepting the PIN i enter, the one sent from audi.

In this case you can see a PIN number in your My audi account, in the summary or in the Audi connect overview. This is the PIN you need to enter to the Audi connect menu, please refer here:

Yup, i've got the PIN still will not be accepted by car. I've had the PIN since registering for a Myaudi account.

Did you have any luck sorting this issue? I have the same problem, but I was connected, just one day the car asked me again for the pin number and have been unable to connect since.

Yesterday I also had a strange experience, in the morning the Traffic Online worked fine, stopped the car for a while, then the [ONLINE] disappeared and the [TP][TMC] icons arrived while the internet connection and everything else worked fine. Neither reset, nor stop/start solved the problem.

Maybe there is some temporary factory support problem out there?

my nearly new A6 asked for the pin again the other day. Went indoors to get my phone where I had stored the pin. Started over, and it worked immediately without asking for the pin. Maybe the phone needs to be in the car ?

Had the phone in the car, as that is where I also get the pin from on my MMi connect app. it acts as if it does not even try to connect, as soon as I push the button to enter the pin straight away is says unable to connect, I will need to try an MMi reset but have not as yet been able to find how to do this for the 4g system.
