    Hello all,

I have an issue that I am trying to address with my parking brake.

When released, the brake lever seems to jam due to the cable bending. Is there a return spring in the system anywhere, that should pull the cable back when the lever is released?

I am aware of the gas strut problem and have already replaced this. In doing so, I have found this new problem.

Does the transfer module have an internal spring or are the springs in the drum mechanism the only ones? Seems like sticking in the system somewhere, but a readjustment might bring things back in.

    Sorted.

The transfer module had jammed due to corrosion and lack of use. Once freed up, the cable could be correctly adjusted and the slack taken out of the cable. The gas strut can now correctly operate the pedal and therefore the switch.
