Starting to get frustrated with my Q7 in this weather !!

Fairly regularly I get in and the front screen is all misted up. The front screen de-mist option on the climate control appears to be pretty crap. I have to sit for ages until I get a bit of heat coming out and it slowly clears the screen. I thought the A/C de humidified the air meaning it would be a fairly quick process - but it doesn't seem to be the case. I know the A/C is working - as it cools the car down fine in the summer.

Perhaps I'm just missing my Merc ML - that had an awesome climate system in comparison. That used to give me warm air out of the vents within 60 seconds of starting the engine! The Q7 takes a good mile of driving before and warm air makes an appearance.

Am I likely to have a loose door seal somewhere causing the front screen to mist up? I've check them all and they all look fine on first inspection. Or is this a normal Q7 issue?

    Cheers
    Darren

Its not just the Q7 as my A6 does this too, like you my a/c works as it should and have checked the cabin filter, that's clean too. Thought it might just be a quirk

I had the same with my Q7. it rained really hard for 3 days. Then I found water inside (passenger foot side) so I tracked down the dripping. Found out that under the bonnet where the water drains (front right wheel) was full of leaves. so we had to use a powerful hoover to take it out. otherwise you would have to take off the plastic panel to get hand access to where the leaves are.
In a nut shell, I cleaned out both sides. And then cleaned inner window with ammonia to degrease. and hasn't fogged up since..

I also have the same issue with morning heating.. does take a while to warm up. My Bmw also takes second to warm up too.
