    Hello members.
Question: is it a normal thing to have around 3000 rpm while driving around 90-100 Km/h ?
    Thank you.
    Yossi Shani.

I find it hard to grasp,
100 Km/h suppose to be a quiet normal motion, instead it turns to an unpleasant one,and noisy too.
The car was manufactured in 2002 not in 1982,still one gets the impression that 100 Km/h is beyond the speed limit.
I mean 3000 rpm! who can travel long in such effort? and it consumes quite a fuel.
Maybe it was meant to be driven inside cities and not pull out to the highways?maybe.

just check the box is going through all the gears. start off in 1, then 2, 3 etc, making sure it changes up, then locks up in top.

Ceck the gearbox oil level, torque coverter fluid coupling may be slipping excessively, it is just a 1.6 though, not the best combination with an auto box.

    Thank U all.
The fourth gear kicks in around 70 KM/h and from now on the revs are climbing up.
Never the less ,to make things sure i have sent the car to have a gearbox oil and filter change.
Has anyone in this forum have an identical car? that will shade some light.
    Yossi
