I have the 1.6 and I'm pondering a remap - yeah I know, why didn't I just buy the 2.0 instead but I like the massive fuel economy when not "pressing on" but it could do with a little more go for when the wife, kid and dog plus luggage are on board.

I've tried a tuning box (no names, no blame) but to be honest it made very little difference - in fact the car felt and sounded better with it removed.

Has anyone done a remap of the 1.6 at all ?

I'm declining the emissions fix so not worried there.

Its very important to get a quality job when talking about remaps. And if you stucked tuningbox on its clear you dont really understand or care about your car. Quality remap will make around 30 hp and 50 Nm torque safely.

Thanks for your non-advice. I'll take it fully on board and action that immediately.
