Anyone know of a guide to fitting this?

pad Wear sensor is permanently on, upon investigating after replacing Wear sensor, this cable had been butchered and wrapped in black nasty just after the connection block that meets the Wear sensor wire. It disappears up into the wheel arch/engine bay and wasn't expecting the thin wires with crimped terminals on it when I decided to order the part from Audi...

You are going to struggle to fit the complete loom up to the point of the crimped pins. If you know where the damage has been done to the old loom i suggest you cut it there and solder this new loom on and only the section you need. Heat shrink each joint and then wrap the repaired section in self-amalgamating tape to prevent water ingress.
Audi's official way of repairing cables is to crimp and not solder but ive seen corrosion ingress in this so solder/shrinkwrap is better than crimp.
