Google Earth activation success

After much frustration I have finally enabled Google Earth using data sim in MMI but without Audi Connect subscription....
P.s why are my pics not displaying correctly??

On the pics, not sure what's the issue, but one tip (at least for iPhone users) is if you're taking a landscape photo, always have the home button on the right side to avoid some apps viewing upside down.

** don't get me started on people who film video in portrait mode.... why are they always the ones who send footage in to news channels. If I get into power I'd ensure their TV's were mounted in portrait until they learn the errors of their ways

What is the minimum vehicle year to enable google earth.
A friend upgraded his 2012 dash and media Unit to a 2014 digital dash with sim slot on the Media ECU.
We couldn't find options for google earth enabling or coding when we connected with vcds 5f.
Any help will be appreciated.

Think it has to be 2015 + running the nvidia chipset mate.
