Hi I am new to this but am about to order a new Audi A4 Allroad 190 s-tronic. I want the sport but can only afford the basic model.

They are offering me an Audi Complete deal which with maintenance and service is £63 a month based on 25,000 miles a year over 4 years - although i don't have the quote yet internet research on maintenance option with leasing costs suggests it might cost around £85 a month to include tyres.

It just seems good value and wonder if I am missing anything? The dealer has costed all services over £100,000 at £2,682 inc Vat but excluding brakes, repairs etc. The £85 a month seems to include all repairs and tyres and out of warranty items and over 100,000 miles would cost me £3,995 or 4pence per mile.

Any thoughts would be appreciated and in particular how much a set of tyres costs for the Allroad and how long they last on a mix of country lanes, tracks, A roads and motorways

    Many thanks

Only a quick reply from me, but a word of warning.... I had a similar Service, Maintenance and Tyres plan on my old VW Scirocco. It ran for 3 years at £30 a month if I remember correctly. Anyway, it all sounded great and my sums before signing on the dotted line made it seem good value for money, however I regretted the decision, mainly from a tyres point of view - I was unfortunate to get 2 separate accidental punctures during the 3 year plan (pure bad luck) and the plan didn't cover punctures! I tried to get them changed but it was a no. Also, the tyres were changed via National tyres (branches nationwide), and they were really fussy about not changing a tyre unless it had reached the legal minimum of 1.6mm..... despite all of their advertising in branch recommending tyres are changed when they hit 3mm. I got the car serviced by VW who recommended one tyre needed replacement due to low tread depth, so went straight to National who initially refused, and it was only when I stated that I had literally just come from VW who recommended replacement, that they phoned up the head office (probably VW Finance who managed the contract) and got authorisation to change it slightly above the 1.6mm depth. Never again!! So read the small print...
