Got an error on my climate control diagnostics- I get an error for Outside Air (Ambient) Temperature Sensor (G 17). According to everything I can find on a LCR the sensor should be near the passenger foglamp. Instead there is FMIC piping there! I looked in that area and all I have is the wiring for the foglamp that was removed and the wiring for the horns. I do not see the sensor anywhere! Where does the wiring for the G17 start at? I figure if I can find that I can trace to where the previous person that installed the FMIC tucked it away at!

Well on a vw golf it's on the nsf so it's probably the same on the leon. If you can't find it take the bumper off there will be 2 wires to it and it will be there on the slam panel loom.

It is down in the left front corner of the bumper under the air intake above the spoiler.

The sensor is 1J0 919 379 A and costs £31.72, the plug is 1J0 973 702 and costs £3.79 and into this you need 1 double ended yellow repair wire 000 979 019 E which is £5.04 (there are EA and FA gold plated and gold plated with galvanised wire respectively alternatives) and the wires should be sealed in the plug with rubber boot 443 906 102 G which is £6.32. This repair (sans boot) is what has already been done with the other plug. The repaired brown/yellow wire goes into location 1 of the plug and the brown/white into location 2.
