My good lady has managed to jam her offside wing mirror against one of the garage door struts; I've got the car back out of the garage with some judicious use of 2nd gear, holding the door-strut, steering left and the mirror still functions as before, with indicator, tilt, demist, courtesy light but the edge where the indicator is, has popped out of the housing and won't pop back in.

Anyone have any tips as to how to remove the housing such that I can have a look and see why it won't re-assemble?
