Tiptronic to Manual conversion

Hello guys just a quick question on how easy and what is needed what is needed to convert auto to manual..,,,what I have is an Audi 1999 A6 2.7 biturbo which I bought off eBay but was delivered from Bedford written off airbags deployed etc etc no way can cost effective put back on road so then stupidly bought a 2000 A6 4.2 with lpg conversion..,,,but tiptronic box now packed up keeps changing up with high revs wit hardly any pull like its slipping!!! is ther any way I can take the 6 speed manual box, ECU pedal assembly etc from the 2.7 A6 and fit it into the A6 4.2? Read somewhere that it's not to difficult but don't know how to proceed or if is even worth it?? Any help would be a great help kind regards Andy

I found some time ago a post on an american forum about this conversion, you will need to fit a clutch pedal, change the box, code the ECU's to tell the gearbox is manual, etc... Good luck!

No I don't know any transmission specialists around South Wales and I've not got 1500-2000 to replace or recondition the trans so need to kinda utilise what I have and try salvage something from the mess I bought lol thanks for the help though guys anybody in UK done this swap who I can chat to on this forum?

How are you doing with this? Did you had the codes read from the TCU? Maybe you can just overhaul your transmission with new orings and possibly clutch packs, and avoid the conversion.
