    Hi chaps

Well had my car a couple of weeks now and noticed its due a service. B8 2.0 TDI 170 58 plate 112k

Its had full dealership service history up to press and Audi say its needs the fulls works of £349 inclusive VAT, parts and labour.

    Is it worth it?

    Dealership saying
    Oil Change
    Oil Filter
    Pollen Filter
    Full inspection
    Visual Health Check

    Thanks

Like Zollaf has pointed out, if it hasn't had a timing belt done you should seriously consider it. 8 years is quite a long time. In that case, I would go to an independent as the service at Audi including timing belt and water pump will be close to £1000.

thats the sort of car that really needs a tidy indo to go over it properly. not by the book but properly. its had 5 oil changes on a service regime designed to sell cars to the fleet market. i would be doing the lot myself, timing belt , water pump, oil, coolant, brake fluid and going over everything else very carefully. then recommending the customer comes back every 8,000 miles for an oil change.

Don't complain. It's by some measure the shortest contribution I've made. I'm still smarting from what Mr Eshrules said in his cringingly self-indulgent farewell post...

To be honest I'd go inde, yes a full dealership service history is nice but I'd just be as happy getting a book full of receipts and an inde stamp.

Well according to the book it says the timing belt has been done on the 78k service but I will ask Audi to confirm

I decided to cancel with Audi anyway but my trouble is finding a good inde that i know will do a good job

    Any recommendations near West Yorkshire?
