I can't understand how I went from a bunch of faults and a slightly flat battery. To a full new battery and a car that just turns over.

Are there any new faults now you've changed the battery?

Ok I've found a blown fuse. 10amp no42 I think. Replaced it. All my faults have gone. But still won't start?

It was the one in the plenum area. As soon as I replaced it I was able to clear the faults. A little sniff of brake cleaner in the air intake and it sprang into life. It's running fine now, no faults.
