    Hello everyone

    I own a Golf 1.6 Bluemotion, Diesel. 75k miles, 2011.

I've recently had the EGR valve replaced and since I've had thr car returned (2 weeks), for the first 2 mornings when I started the car there was a knocking in the engine. Sounds like it's coming from the passenger side. The sound disappears after about 10 seconds. For a further 2 weeks after that the noise never returned, until yesterday morning when I started the engine. I noticed the temperature outside had dropped to 2 degrees so I can only come to the conclusion it is weather related, which still baffles me as I have never experienced this noise before last year when it was cold. The engine has since been checked for a full inspection and nothing is lose and nothing is detected to be wrong to cause the noise. The car itself drives perfectly fine. Hopefully you can see the link at the end of my post, I filmed the noise when it initially happened. Hope someone is able to help
