    Hi everyone.
In need of some help. My 1.4 tsi beetle has an intermittent fault in which when I'm usually overtaking and are on full throttle I lose power suddenly and only seem to have half the power I normally have. On my interior gauge it shows the needle sticking at half way and not going all the was round as normal. This has happened a couple of times now and vw are unable to diagnose the fault after using diagnostics and road testing. I've read that quite a few people have had this issue. I have no light come up on the dash but something certainly isn't right.
Can anyone give me any pointers on what to ask them to look at? Or had anyone experienced the problem and had it sorted and what did they do to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated!

It has a CTHD engine and is a type 5C14Q2 built on 13.09.2013 but a 2014 model year car. It is too new for my home system (I must get around to updating it) so I will look at work on Monday. I would suggest that the adjustment setting of the turbo's vacuum unit is checked to make sure it is within spec.

Thinking about it I have had this before. Yesterday I had the rep from a supplier come in and it jolted my memory, she was showing me new water pump releases and one was the pump for the 140/170 TFSI engine. These have a magnetic coupling as part of the pump which drives the supercharger and these can act up causing odd driving characteristics which don't leave fault codes.

Fab. Thank you both! Even a possibility of that being the fault is helping me. Need as much help as I can get at the minute.
    Much appreciated!
