Recent problem on my 2013 Allroad - worth sharing

Suspension warning lights came on and on investigation compressor not running - as car was just out of warranty it was transported to Audi dealer who supplied the car

Investigation of fault was inconclusive (everything worked perfectly!) and car was given back to me FOC.

Fault occurred again and car was back to Audi for further investigation. Finally fault found within the connector for the air suspension compressor - this was causing the compressor to run intermittently.

Official line from dealer was that the connector could not be repaired / replaced as factory would not sanction it (cables are 6mm2). They would however replace the complete air compressor under goodwill with a token gesture from me.

As the cables are firmly heavy gauge and compressor is resiliently mounted the connector may be a weak spot (it certainly was for me)

If the cost (£1100 + fitting) had not been covered by goodwill then I'd certainly have gone down the route of a replacement connector.
