    " calling all experts ".....😜 – Today,02:16 PM
Hello and good afternoon to you all..!! I'm probably in the wrong place but hopefully someone may be able to help / direct me... 3/4 days ago ( after a heavy downpour ) wife's 2006 a4 cab passenger door wouldn't open at all.. the central locking worked fine up to that point... locked doors boot n filler cap and armed ( blinking red lights on both doors ) alarm... now we can only get in drivers door with the key... the fob opens boot and filler cap but won't set alarm or lock or unlock the doors... the passenger door internal handle is as if not connected.. no clicking or resistance nor is the outside one... roof works on the turn of the key stil to open and close- no probs- door simply appears " deadlocked " and welded shut..!!! We've an a3 too and I was wondering if any techs out there reckon be worth swapping central locking pumps as a start before tearing up ( leather ) doorcards etc..!!!! Any comments / advice greatly appreciated.. 👍 Mark

    Hi Mark,

Try posting in the A4 B7 section. It sounds like the convenience system module has got wet. Won't do any good to swap central locking motors. Try feeling the passenger footwell to see if it is wet. Check the bulkhead plenum chamber for water. If there is water there, clean out the drain holes. My be lucky and just need dried or you may need a new controller.
