    Hi

I have a 1997 VW Golf Mk3 1.6 GL (AFT Engine). My heater/blower just stopped working yesterday, how do I know if the blower itself is gone or some other related issue - resistor/wiring etc.

    Thanks

Does speed 4 work? What about the head lights, wipers and glovebox light?

If the resistor fails, speed four still works, check there is power to the fuse. There is good article on the Golf 3 in this months Practical Classics...How do I know it is good? I wrote it...

Thanks for the reply. How would I check for power to the fuse, do I need a multimeter?

It is fuse 6, 30 amp green. Use a test light or multimeter to check for ignition on power.
