    Hello all,

    Recently bought myself an Audi A6 2006 2.0TDI S-Line.

Was initially a little apprehensive as it was advertised as being on air-ride suspension. Now I've watched enough of these American car shows (Fast'N'Loud/Counts Kustoms/Kindig It etc) to know that this is not anything new - but for an British bloke, it's not something you see every day!

Still not 100% whether I am going to return the car to it's standard suspension (which fortunately came with the car) but, for now, I'll keep it like it is.

In the month I have owned the car, it's been spot on.

Don't get me wrong, there are definitely things I intend on changing but coming from a 2006 Ford Mondeo ST 2.2TDCI, I can already tell the difference in build quality - well chuffed.

Anyway, enjoying looking through all of the forums and have already found some useful user guides.

Here is the car at it's lowest - obviously not drivable in this position!

    Welcome to VWAF

I prefer a static drop, but the ride is usually much better on air.

Fair amount of cash in the kit if you do opt to sell it though, you'd recoup some of your initial costs.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

I'd prefer a static drop too if I'm being honest.

The settings, as they are, are a little bit off. They have 3 standard settings (1 being the lowest and 3 the highest) but you can manually adjust each corner independently. Unfortunately, 3 is far too high and 2 gives the right stance but the front scrubs like you wouldn't believe. Adjusting manually is a right faff and it doesn't seem to remember the level I had it at previously - weird!

Unfortunately, no manual was supplied but I will do a bit of research and see if I am able to reconfigure the standard settings.

The kit cost £3,550 to put on the car (the receipt was also supplied with the car) so I think you might be right!

I agree - although as someone who is not particularly mechanically minded, I fear that I would just be opening a huge can of worms with regards to electrics etc.

One of my mates is keen on cars so I might have to pop over to Wales at some point for a day or two and get him to help me!
