Hi guys, just updated my firmware and navigation on my mmi 3g, I used the following link on another forum.

    http://www.a5oc.com/forums/a5-genera...3473?_k=qjgisg

All working correctly and was pretty straightforward to do at no cost!! Big bonus is that it runs through the SD card now instead of the dvd drive.
Hope this is helpful for some of you.

    Thanks for this.

Please let us know what year your car is so that we know what is sure to work for.
Does it still catch traffic updates etc?

Mines a 2010 model. As far as I'm aware of it works on any mmi 3g low/basic. There's also a link for the mmi 3g+/high too. It has tmc enabled which is for traffic too. All works fine for me and there's plenty of other people who have used the above method and are happy.

Hi pal, it's fairly easy tbh. You need at least 1 sd card to start, it does take a while to do as the mmi update is quite large so spare around 2 hours all together. Take a pic of your mmi buttons and also the screen, then post them here and should be able to tell what mmi you have. If you're local I'm more then happy to give you a hand.
