Hi Max, can you take a pic? Is it the gap or the level between the two? I didnt know they were going to adjust so don't have a before pic that close up.

Yeah sure will do it in the morning as still waiting for me iPhone and tablet don't have a flash on it

but sunroof and back panel should be flush and you shouldn't be able to see any part of the side of the sunroof
you you layedca straight edge on the 2csections they should be flat and same as from the sunroof to the metal part of the roof it's self

and at the back of the sunroof where meets glass panel is hardly a gap should look nothing like yours do

Whilst doing the other photos I sent you, I noticed these little foam pieces that would seem to be there to prevent the front panel knocking on the metal rail. Mine appear to have folder off where they should be - need to get them to look at. Hopefully you can make out the grey foam in the centre of each pic ( one of each side)

I don't think this is certain batch but a Q7 problem at the moment as I know one of my neighbours and his brother both 1st Sept 2015 registered cars have the issues...

The brother has left his Q7 at the dealership - which they've had for nearly 7 weeks trying to resolve the issue. Neighbour finds his roof rattle is worse in the rain, not sure of the significance of that?

    Curtainly don't look right there
got me wondering if I should just put up with the rattle

Nemo you could be right with the weather and wet and damp wonder if it's worse or better on a frosty morning due to different materials exspanding and shrinking in the different weather and temps

Well, the fix worked for 3 days before it came back. They're picking the car up tomorrow

Feel for you....can't understand why there is no fix as yet as it's a common issue ongoing for over a year?

Thanks Nemo. The dealer has actually been really good since I lost it last week. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it.

The loan car they gave me isn't bad. Really nice to drive (haven't driven a non-SUV for years). It's an A7 s-line with the 272 TDi. Really let down by the dated tech though. It's a 16 plate but the MMI satnav seems like it's from 2006! I couldn't live with that but I guess many do.

Good to hear they are trying to find the fix...I had the A6 Avant in same engine when mine was last in...cracking engine in a lighter car, really did shift.
