The rear section of the exhaust on my 2004 TT Cabriolet 150 needs to be replaced. This is originally in one piece from the rear of the Cat to the back of the car. I've located the standard replacement, which is in two pieces to enable fitment (the suspension gets in the way). My question is simple to those who have carried out a similar replacement - Can it be fitted using ramps or does it require fitting when on a car lift for the extra height? I'm quite capable of fitting it, but I just can't tell if there will be enough clearance to feed the pipe through without it being restricted by the floor.

I haven't got the pipe yet, but I can buy it online for just over £100 complete with all clips and rubbers and with a 30 month warranty. Eurocarparts are useless though, and they only list the rearmost section!

I'll answer my own question in the absence of any replies...... Easy job, but a tight squeeze underneath the car even with ramps. The plastic covers have to come off too, so worthwhile buying some of the spring steel discs to put them back on with.
