    Hi all,

When I log on to my audi I get a message saying that the car needs to be fixed because of a problem with the rear 2 seats being dangerous in a frontal collision. Apparently some sort of support needs to be added to the seats but the 2 dealerships I phoned up seemed to be clueless about it and kept telling me to wait and get a letter by Audi CS said I should get it booked.

Do you guys know anything about it?

    Thanks a lot.

    A

That's the one! dealership keeps saying wait for letter although can't tell me from whom and Audi CS is saying get it fixed asap. I don't want to take it in if they know nothing about the issue and the fix though... great isn't it? 2nd recall and 3rd one potentially coming...

Looks like it is a problem with a parts supplier on cars built between August 2016 and July 2017. Most of the details I could find came from US sites.

Might be worth calling another dealer to see if they have more details and can fix it.

I seem to have this too, wonder how long it will be before the dealers are up to speed.

Is that meant to be Aug 15 - July 16?

Where's that my audi log on gone again...

Edit: Just checked mine and I have it too...

So I'm guessing it is Aug 15 - July 16, if so then that's like most of us on here....

Here you go from US Site...

Basically cars built between Aug 17th 2015 - Jul 31st 2016 are affected

Gyro makes me wonder whether this is the reason for delay to yours...held it back to check pre releasing?

Was wondering the exact same thing when reading the this thread. Better safe than sorry if so. I hope you guys all get it sorted with minimal fuss.
MY17 SQ7, Sepang Blue, 22s, and lots of toys.
MY16 Passat Bluemotion GT, Reflex Silver, 19s, only a few toys.

Tried second local dealer and got the same standard' don't know anything about it but if you insist bring it over so that we can check and replicate the issue' to which I answered 'so you're going to crash my car to test it?'anyway no luck yet finding a dealer who knows what's happening and audi strongly recommends NOT to use these seats till they're fixed... thanks...

You'd think there would send an official letter or something rather than wait for us to log on to myaudi + inform the dealerships on the urgency to get these fixed especially since children are the main occupants of these 2 seats...

See the key thing for me is as you said above...

Should we in theory now not be using these seats? If that's really the case then Audi need to pretty quickly alert all owners and call the cars in for the fix.

The great thing is they've identified this through testing, but now it's known & its taken a month to get to this point is it something really urgent or not?

I haven't logged in to myaudi for a couple of months now, and wouldn't have had i not seen the thread.

But I go back to well done for identifying the issue but get the cars in quickly before something potentially happens
