    Hi

Went for a service today and the garage told me that I have badly cracking rear flex pipes, something to do with the brakes. One the rear flex pipe would fail MOT.

They quoted me £140 + VAT for supplying and fitting both rear flexi pipes.

Am I being ripped off or is the price about right?

    Thanks in advance

thats a good price to be fair. worst case is the bleed nipples on the calipers wont come undone and you end up needing 2 new calipers. its also a great time to get a brake fluid change done if its not had one for 2 years.

The hoses are £28 each genuine, approx £10 each aftermarket. An hours labour and a brake fluid change and I would be charging about the same.

    I've worked on brake lines.

    I hated it.

I'd gladly pay that £140 to have them both done.
