My tiguan has been recently surging as if the engine is labouring lately plugged her in this morning and found 4891-P0403 Egr Valve N18: Malfunction tried the test found to be not working.
I have just been out to vw and purchased a new egr valve and cooler plus gaskets.

Since fitting the new ego and cooler the car runs much smoother and has a much greater throttle response. The cooler took me 3 hrs to fit due to it being located at the rear of the engine below the dpf.
