Hi guys I have signed up for the purpose of hoping to get some advice really.
My wife bought her dream car last year, a seat leon 170 FR 2007 BMN engine and now its starting to develop faults that are really annoying. The car drives great with the exception of being stuck in traffic. if it idles for a period of time, it starts smoking white and and idles lumpy, and the smell is disgusting. I have checked coolant, oil, compressions and all are great, not loosing a drop of anything.
the other day we were driving and the glow light flashed and it went in to limp mode as well, now I don't think the two issues are connected but I am studying LVL 3 light vehicle repair at college as a mature student and had a chance to use our diagnosis tool. the codes it threw up were

06469 Control module 1 for cooling fan: output short circuit P1945 open circuit short

00551 Throttle pedal position sensor G79 signal too low P0227 short with ground
05683 Accelerator position sensor 2 G185 signal too low P1633 short with ground

has anybody encountered these faults before???

    Any help is hugely appreciated.

literally just plugged it in this morning, will be disconnecting the throttle pedal later and checking voltages. its more the cooling module that has me, would it be a reason for it smoking at all?

and these were after I had cleared the codes last week, so definitely the problems.

it is a diesel 170 FR. Thanks

has your car got a dpf fitted and its coming on giving you the smoke etc ?

flashing glow plug light can be accelerator position switch, brake pedal switch or clutch pedal switch .............. yours is saying accelerator
#the coolant is possibly the wiring to the sensor in the radiator or the sensor itself. Be careful changing them as the brass face can be easily damaged

the other coolant temp sender unit is traditionally at the thermostat , this sends signal to dash & ecu ................. if this fails it usually tells car its cold & gives extra diesel to engine, a default setting

smoking white is usually head gasket failure or unburnt diesel ............. I am guessing its your dpf
