I ordered my new A6 Avant BE on 26th August and have today received a build week of week 48, which is a start of build 28th November.

Looks like I will get it in time for Christmas!

Works out at around 17 weeks from order to delivery 'ish', which I didn't think was too bad.

I ordered mid July and my car has left the factory and awaits a boat to the UK. Still think it's a long time though.

Don't know recent build times for A6s but 17wks feels long, ours took about 10weeks from order to delivery but that was a year or so ago

Ordered my Avant 2.0 ultra S-line auto on 18th May with Inchcape Crawley, was hoping for delivery by end of Sept.

Been told build week is 19th September and delivery is looking like Mid October.

So something like 20-21 weeks for mine.

Hope its worth the wait !

Problem I have with long lead times is I keep looking at other cars or other deals. I know I should just be happy with my deal and stop looking lol.

I've gone for Audi exclusive paint (Segang Blue) which has probably added a few weeks. Just couldn't have another grey/black/silver car!

My A6 Avant 3.0 BE was ordered mid-June, built August bank holiday week and has been somewhere in the UK for a week now - but not at the dealer yet.

I'm getting impatient now as I have a provisional delivery date of 3rd October but can't see why it should be more than a week now.

Now moved to week 47, which is build start a week earlier on 21st November. I think the obsession in tracking has started!

You have seen nothing yet! I managed to successfully work out which ship my car was coming to the UK using the sites linked in this post. Quite sad but fun at that point!
