I've decided to retrofit Cruise Control + an OEM MFSW (the one with the buttons and no wheels). The bits are all on their way, however one thing I'm trying to find out is how to centre/align the clock spring. I'm sure you're all aware that misaligned clock springs are more prone to fail sooner (in fact, they always do), so there's usually a method in which you centre them. I've seen on Golfs there is two markers you can use and on the Lupo there is a clip that sort of helps (but is actually useless as I aligned to that and still it went too soon, design fault is the issue here).

Does anyone know how to correctly align a clock spring on an A4 B6? I'll try and get a copy of Elsawin tonight see if that gives any detail. Is this just a game of Russian roulette?
