I have bought a used abs module for my car and needed to re code it, the abs units have exactly the same numbers and its a Bosch 5.7, when I try to recode it in VCDS the code is accepted and showing up ok, but when I turn off the ignition and back on again the code has gone back to 00000 again, any ideas please, I followed the Ross Tech video on this, everything was ok before the abs was unplugged

I wonder if you need to enter the same code into the central electrics unit also?? Never done this but either the ABS unit is faulty or some other coding to be done?

I did it exactly as per Ross Tech instructions, it didn't say anything else about recoding central electrics, but I will look into it thanks.
