    I have been getting the below code also for some time...


    have had the below fault log many times over the last year or too..

    17698 - - Coolant Temp Sensor at Radiator Outlet (GB3) Singal too Small.
    P1290 - 002 - Lower limit Exceeded


    I think its a sensor mounted at the front right of the car under the rad..

    Does anyone know the exact location and part number for this sensor..??

    Its on the lower radiator pipe,sorry dont know the part number
    vag diagnostics, retrofits and general repairs

    ok.. is there a common name to call it if i nip into Audi Trade Parts.. or would i be best just giving the fault code..??

    G83 coolant sender.They will try to supply you with the coolant that lives at the back of the cylinder head and that is called G62
    vag diagnostics, retrofits and general repairs

    Going to look into getting this sorted this weekend..

    G83 coolant sender. - Once i get a part number i will post to save time in the future!
