I thought switch over happened at Week 22 in which case Mica's car should have CarPlay and SOS. Week 22 is the final week of May / Start of June which again makes me think Mica isn't being told the truth?

Mica where did you find out your car was a week 27 build?

If it was I would guess it landed at dealers first week of August which I guess ties in to what dealers are telling you...but if it's missing CarPlay and the SOS buttons in the button cluster above your head then it's either a misbuild or fibbies being told.

Interestingly it seems there is a difference between MY17 pricing and MY17 build. Maybe the pricing came into effect wk22 but the builds of MY17 spec didn't start until wk28?



edit: I guess wk22 was when the first orders for MY17 were taken?

But the price increase incorporated the 'extra' spec i.e. ASI and SOS etc?

I'm still pretty certain anything built from week 22 is meant to be MY17 as that's the week the factory switches to new model year

Nice one. Just updated the app on the iPhone and can see it's now listed in the CarPlay apps. Will have a play tomorrow.

Really handy as it saves me ripping the new Now albums I buy them for my daughters so they have the CD but often don't appear on Apple Music. This saves me the hassle as it will be available the day the CD ships

Just to add to what you guys have been saying although the 2017 model had car play as standed

from Jan 2016 the configure on the Q7 added apple car play as an opshion extra you had to pay for
from memory it was I'm sure it was £200-300

iOS 10.3 adds a few new features to CarPlay. Shortcuts are handy and it seems you don't get the stupid compass in the VC (until you add directions) so you could use Audi nav for VC and HUD and apple maps for additional map info.
