I will swap out the sub and four door speakers, but would like to check, should I also look into changing the three dashboard speakers (is it even possible without going the B&O route) and/or the two pillar B speakers? Don't want to go overboard ripping up the panels and just want to focus on what will truly make a noticeable difference. What's your guidance?

Lastly, my sub is 2 ohm, so bought a 8 inch kicker 2 ohm single coil 200 rms sub. Do you think power wise it could cause an issue? I will measure ohms for all other speakers but could benefit from your guidance on the max power rating I should consider for all other speakers - I know the amp pushes out 195watts rms but I don't know the breakout by channel. Thanks much!
I would suggest to try to replace dash side speakers on these from Q8 B&O Premium Sound System (4M8035399A) which should cost CA 40 Euro each. The swap should be plug&play. Not on the popping out B&O Advanced Sound System tweeters since these cost a fortune of CA 750 Euro each and the swap is much more complicated. I also agree with Anemeth that the replacement of center dash speaker will not bring the significant sound improvement.

I've bought a 2016 q7 after having a 2013 a6 and was so dissatisfied with the sub I ventured into a big project ...building a bespoke shaper box around the weird floor pan with 12 inch kenwood shallow mount sub and to drive it , it's own amp...its come out amazing ...but hard work

Hi Anemeth and Retom, happy to report that I was able to upgrade my sub to an 8 inch one and it sounds way better than the factory stock. I made a flange collar out of plywood, which saved me from having to cut the opening on factory plastic subwoofer box any bigger. This sub box fits snug around the floor and doesn't move . The sub amp is mounted in front of the sub under the drivers side 7th seat . Leaving the whole left hand side for all of the tools and bits and pieces in carry. Like bottle jack and other bits for my caravan. Also I wired the amp from the fuse box in the boot on the left hand side panel . Fuse no 2 on the red row is the fuse that the Bose upgrade would have used anyway . I also made a connector to the sub 4 ohm feed using cut down space terminals and heatshrink . This has been cable tied in , but the beauty is that i can revert this whole system back to stock in about 15 mins including de wiring it

Thanks Adarshji for your update. Excellent job! Congratulations! The flange collar made out of plywood is very impressive and looks as hi-end product. Did you do it yourself?

Thanks! Yes, I made it myself using some scrap plywood, a jig saw, cordless drill and wood glue. I cut several rings of same inner and outer diameter, and stack glued them on top of one another. The only exception was ring at the bottom, which has a smaller inner diameter to match the opening on stock sub-woofer box. Everything can be reverted to factory if need be. Next stop - door speakers!

Hi Retom, Anemeth, do you guys know what the small hole to the left of center dash speaker is? I am just wondering if it is an empty slot that could possibly be used for a nice aftermarket tweeter or midrange - just thinking out loud. 20200601_170453.jpg20200601_170458.jpg

It looks like on the enclosed picture: left (small) is a treble speaker 4M0 035 399, right is the front center loudspeaker 4M0 035 416:
