    My 2000 A8 quattro stopping and starting while shopping for 2 hours then fails to start. turns over real fast but no attempt to start. sits for several hours and starts and runs perfect. The next day same problem. Any body have any ideas as dare not trust it on the road

    have you tried the spare key ?
    VW POLO 2002 1.2 12v , Audi A6 2006 2.0 TDi SE , Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi

    All 3 cars in the current fleet

    It would be best to start your own thread with the issues as you will get more responses. It could be coils, injectors or temperature sensors (coolant temp) or something completely different! Can you tell us which engine you have? Can you get the car scanned by someone with VCDS?
    Current- A6 C8 40 tdi quattro s line Daytona Grey
    Gone-S3 sportback, A6 C7 biturbo saloon,A4 B 8.5 avant, A6 C6 3.0 tdi Quattro saloon, A6 C5 2.8 Q Avant

    iTS A 2000 a8 QUATTRO 4.2 AWD CAR HAS BEEN IN AUDI SHOP FOR TWO DAYS NOW AND WITH ALL TEST EQUIPMENT ATTACHED EVERYTHING SHOWS NORMAL. AT THE MOMENT THEY ARE AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT MY PROBLEM IS. TODAY THEY ARE GOING TO TRY AND REPLICATE WHAT I DID BEFORE IT QUIT.
