I would get him to put the costing together for you because in the quote it should contain all the part numbers of everything you need. I can then reference those to see if they are actually needed (or not).... just a thought. Your call
    Finally got a reply of:

Good news, I've double checked your vehicle chassis and it appears the seats you have fitted already have the correct motors in place with the sensors installed.
This can be confirmed by the presence of a control module under each seat. As long as this is correct, the motors will not need to be replaced and in the case the memory seats and memory mirror upgrade will cost £1395 + VAT supplied and fitted. There is however a small chance the control units under the seats may need to be upgraded to support the memory function, if this is the case, these will cost £289.50 + VAT each. This price includes both memory switches and trims for the drivers and passenger doors and will operate as per factory fit once installed.

Thats a lot of money for what is a £500 upgrade when ordered new!

Damn, that is expensive.. but then that is parts direct from dealer... can you ask him for the part numbers of the control units under the seats?

I've done heaps of Memory Seats in the Q7 4M now. If you have a control unit under your seat (look for a blue connector going into it) then its about £200 in parts for memory seats

    Cheers
