On cars without a Tech pack and smaller 6.5 inch screen, does the sat nav still display between the dials. I didn't think so, but just seen a you tube video which seems to suggest it does. I've restricted my search to tech pack cars because I wanted this feature, but this could help a whole lot.
(Although I'd love the HUD as well. Great feature)

    Hi,

I filtered my search too for the tech pack and overlooked a lot of other cars some with other very good options which I wasn't too fussed about, no regrets as the nav is way better on the larger screen and directional arrows in the driver display and hud.

I had a courtesy 2015 A6 Ultra with the basic mmi which gave arrow instructions in the driver display and just found it so poor in comparison, with significantly lower quality resolution and large plastic edging,

Ive seen somewhere google earth in the driver display which I assume is only available with connect?, im considering having google earth and connect retrofitted if this is correct.

I took the opposite approach and went for the basic mmi, guides you and appears between dials and clear as day and easy to use. Found the more advanced systems just full of pointless features and to be honest the less i look away from the road the better, even get a speed limit guide which is handy, to be honest if your a gadget kind of person you will want the toys... i prefer to keep it to a minimum, hate memory seats and leather etc
