Audi A6 C5 Window clip replacement without removing window frame?

Hi All,

I have all the bits I need to service my front windows and have been looking into the job requirements. I read on here and elsewhere that you can replace the window clips without removing the window, but having just watched a video on how to do the job(where they DID remove the frame and window from door) it looks impossible to do without removing the window from the frame!? Can the clips be replaced with the window in situ or must I remove the window?

Many thanks in advance - I'm dreading the job so any advice or tips would be welcomed

Mark the frame in relation to the door before removing so you can get it back in the same place. No idea if you can do it without removing window but it's not a difficult job. I seem to remember that getting the door lock cable back on was the worst of it.
