I'm pretty sure the handbook says 120k with no time interval, I think this is stupid and always stick to 60k/4yrs whichever comes first without fail.

Sounds painful just like long life servicing.

I won't be waiting for 100k+ for my belt change I'll do it at the old interval of around 70K/4Years. It's the same with long life I've gone for fixed interval 10Kmiles/1year. I would choose long life servicing if you plan to get rid of the car after 3 years, as you may only have to take it in once during the 3 years of ownership, but if you plan to keep the car then I would switch back to fixed & shorted belt services.

im a new owner, well about 3 weeks now..... ive not long had a full service done which made me feel better if not a little poorer in the pocket lol. just noticed the mileage click round to 69000 and found myself driving along thinking " i wonder when the timming belt is due "

fatal train of thought. from what i can find out its due at 75000 ....so paranoia will take over and i will get it done asap.

I agree with the above - 4 years/60k, I'd sooner pay a few hundred quid for the belt change than the thousands it can be should the belt fail.

Having been there once before, I view timing belt changes as more of an engine insurance than a servicing cost.

Audi website Regular maintenance says 5 years or mileage as dictated in service book. Interesting to that if the Audi dealer does the cambelt then you also get free MOTs for life
