    Hi all

New to the forum so apologies if this has been covered. I have had a search and can't find an answer to my question.

I have recently got a 2012 A4 saloon Black Edition. It has Audi drive select with adjustable dampers. My question is, what springs does Audi put on when the car has this? The reason I ask is it seems to ride quite high, which makes me think it's not on s line springs. I have checked the codes from the service manual and none of them correspond to the suspension that's fitted.

I am wanting to lower the car, but lowering measurements that are quoted are compared to standard suspension. So if it has sport or s line suspension then obviously the springs won't lower the car as much as quoted.

    Hope someone can help.

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

Post up your codes, which site are you using to de-code them?

    Hi Chris

If I'm honest mate I can't remember which it was. I was googling for ages last night and stumbled across a link. Typed them in there.

Here are all my codes from the service book though.

Ok so after even more googling, I found that 1BL refers to the suspension option. But it is just to say it has the adaptive setup.

So I'm now trying to find out what the ride height of this option is. Is it the standard SE, Sports or sline? Some places are saying its same as sport, which I understand is 20mm lower than standard. But I've found somewhere saying its in between (10mm lower) and another place that says sports and SE are the same ride height but have different shock settings.

Major confusion!! No one seems to know for certain!
