Apologies if this has been answered before (I did a search - honest!) but is it possible to have the car's speed and/or the prevailing speed limit showing on both or either of the sat-nav displays please?
I have found a menu item for speed and checked it but it doesn't seem to work!

You can't have the cars speed displayed but can have the current speed limit for the road. No idea how to code it was though, was on from factory in the wife A5 and my A7.

Speed limit (based on type of road) is on by default in my 2015 FL A6. Shows it in the bottom right corner of the map, and don't think I've actively turned anything on to make it show

It sometimes gets it wrong though.

If you want it to recognise speed limit signs when you pass them, and display that - then that's an expensive option to tick.

Not actually based on the tupe of road, it is actually part of the mapping database. On my 2012 A6 with RMC had the amusing situation that on a 40 mph road near me it showed 40mph in one direction and 30 in the other. Has been sorted on my 2015 car

Should have stated that my car is a 2015 Allroad. So from the above it appears that the speed limit should be on the display by default - but it ain't!

Need to add, it doesn't show up on all roads. e.g. some smaller rural roads.

Another plausible issue could be, that this option was not set for all the cars, there is a VCDS trick to enable this option if it was not enabled by default.
