So many of you come here don't read anything and want everything on a plate! (BTW I read all the pages). Wereas Andy and many others (including myself) spend the time and try find the coding changes to do certain things. It would make everyone's life easier if you all pitched in and did something to contribute and help others rather than just look out for yourself!!

I believe there is an "app" in ODBEleven to do this now for 10 credits or so?

I have the coding.. will find time to update main page.

    ---------------------

FYI - I have no issue people asking for if something is possible or not or if I've got the answers - yeah sure, everything is trial and error and takes up personal time to find it but at the same token its something like others that I enjoy doing. Its the way my brain is programmed. I'll always do my best to help where I can, but I dont unfortunately have all the time in the world to figure stuff out quickly as I'd, or others would like.

I have heaps of coding to do stuff, but I only post things on this forum on the first page I'm happy to share for "free". That is because some stuff takes a long time to figure out, and as the cars get more complex there are even different permutations of coding to achieve the same thing. So sometimes I can't post something as it only would work for a subset of car variants and no doubt someone would try it on their car, cause a problem and I'll get asked more questions. So its a balance.

On a side note to this, I get loads of PM's asking me to send every part number and coding list to retrofit something. I must get 1 or 2 every couple of days from all over the world. I'm forever clearing out my forum inbox. I kindly decline and offer my help at a small cost if that is what they want. It weens out the leechers to the people that are more serious and I've had many successes as a result and happy people. On the flip side I've had people share stuff with me, for free, because yes, even I ask people for info... I'm the first to say I dont know everything, so of course its give-and-take.

I'll continue to update this thread as and when because given the number of views it has had, I could get lynched if I don't .

Not trying to start any argument or similar, but just my 2p.

    Cheers

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for your fair and fully understandable comments. It looks like you've become a victim of your own success and international fame .
For those interested, a coding link that can also be useful for some of Q7 coding enthusiasts: Audi Q7 4M – Audi Coding Wiki

    Cheers

Thanks, I’ve been informed the VC has to be firmware 0300 or higher as well.

For SQ7 layout yep, this is correct. (this still doesnt allow the single centre SQ7 dial format to be enabled however if the car has over 100Km on the clock)
