If you do see a traffic sign prior to (b), you eventual get the error "Traffic sign recognition: function currently restricted"... The error stays but the camera still keeps reading traffic signs... Restricted means it is NOT comparing the values in the map data with the images of speed signs the camera has picked up. This is the big difference between the Audi TSR system and other cars as it is using map data to make comparisons. Other cars such as Volvo and mazda just show the traffic sign that their camera has seen.

Make sure you park the car turn it off and lock the doors. That seems to reset the camera TSR settings. Then start the car, wait 20-30 seconds then drive past a traffic sign and see if the camera picks up.

Without the correct dataset in the camera (ie just coding TSR) you always get "no traffic sign recognised"... and no errors. VCP is great for all the dataset stuff. I;ve had to use it for BOSE retroft and Ambient light retrofit as both MIB2 and J519 [BCM1] need dataset updates. Tehe guys at VCP are pretty good with requests as well. As Andy mentioned, all the flash files etc.. are tied to your dongle so you need to also purchase the software subscriptions. finally, they do VIM as well.

Trust me, I spent months figuring all this out! We need to find a way of stopping the predictive route data hitting the A5 camera but still available for J519 (controls the lights and all those functions). I thought I had it nailed with some PSD fields in the A5 but it didnt work :-(
Hi @spyderboyant I live in Serbia, and I have OBDEleven premium, i occasionally get the message that says something like "Traffic Sign Recognition: currently restricted. See owner's manual." Am I able to use my OBDEleven to make this fully working on not. The car is 2015 Q7 4M with VC.

Never mind, this is a usual Audi error message, will disappear soon. It used to happen if the cam's lens is dirty, or when your car has a bad day. That's all, it's not a failure, but a "business as usual" message. I know, I have these too

The issue is that my TSR is not working at all since the day i got the car ( used ). In meanwhile i changed the windshield and recalibrated sensors and camera, but still the issue persist, no signs are getting read.

I am attempting to retrofit auto brake hold onto my US model Q7 4M. I have the button and wiring installed but do not know the coding for the ABS module. B9 cars require bytes 18 and 30 be re-codes. That doesn’t seem to work on my Q7, I thought it might. Any tips? Could someone with factory auto hold scan their module so I can try their coding?

Hello - this is a wonderful resource; thank all of you for the tips and tricks. I have one that has stumped me. I installed an OEM tow bar and tow module in my 2019 Q7, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to code the car via OBD11. I can find guides for VAG-COM, but the OBD11 translations don't make sense. Further, the Ross Tech wiki is woefully lacking in this territory. Has anyone had success doing this?

OBD11 added some new codes, the comfort door lock works.

Feature: When you open the driver/passenger door, the windows roll down slightly and only close after the doors are closed. This avoids the problem of temporary overpressure in the interior.
