    Just been notified by Audi that they now have the fix for my 2014 2.0 TDI 177 Quattro
    I am a bit worried how carefully the letter is worded saying max torque is not affected but does not mention bhp or affect on power band or torque band. Are low rev torques changed? Also they say fuel consumption figures already published will not be changed. But these are unreal rubbish anyway.
    If they really can fix the emissions with absolutely no affect on performance or economy why are they considering a buy back scheme in the USA
    My feeling at the moment is not to go for it and trust the dealer not to tinker with the car's settings at the next service
    What will you do when you get your letter?

    Thanks Chris. I gues your mpg is ok as well. As mine only returns 30mpg anyway (which main dealer says is fine for my car) I doubt it could get much worse

    Since I ditched the Continential tyres for Hankook S12 Evo's I'm now seeing 52mpg on a long run and near as makes no difference, 600 miles out of a full tank.

    I've done a 350 mile round trip today and achieved this;

    Considering its a 2.0 TDI quattro S-tronic, with wide 19" tyres and a full boot I think it's done pretty well.

    The old 3.0 TDI A6 only ever seen 44mpg doing the same length of journey. Can't believe I've done 18k in it since October either.

    Before the internet police appear, this photo was taken by my passenger

    i think we have the same model 2.0 177 manual quattro with wide 19ins wheels
    mine only returns 29mpg around town and never more than 42 even on a long run driving like my Granny. Audi say this is perfectly OK.
    the car has only done 4K miles so the engine tightness may be an issue
    has yours always bee so good or only when it loosened up a bit. Is the dealer just fobbing me off saying my consumption is ok. Must say my A6 3.0 stronic quattro 245 is loads better on fuel, heavier and much more lively

    I have the S-tronic gearbox with quattro.

    I have owned the car since brand new and yes, the engine has loosened up but the real difference was replacing the factory Continental tyres (F rated for fuel economy) for Hankook V12 Evo K120 tyres which have a fuel economy rating of C.

    I was booking my 2.0 143 A4 B8 in for service last week and they didn't have a fix for it then.
