    If the garage doesn't charge you for scans, maybe it would be worth trying a scan with the ABS module unplugged, before paying someone to test/repair it.

    Yippee.
    I bought a second hand complete Abs module, swapped out the black plastic topped part of the module.Put all back together again and fired her up.
    No bleeping and no symbols on the Dis.
    Taking for a MOT tomorrow,I will get him to scan/clear any codes.
    £100 to buy and I can sell my old module to a company that refurbs them.I don't know how much I will get for it, not too bothered. It's fixed.

    Another year on an shes still going.
    Failed on rear discs/pads a drive shaft gaiter.
    When the garage started to strip down the rear brakes a bolt in the caliper carrier snapped, so ended up with a new carrier as well.
    They dont build em like they used too
