halogen to led conversion

hi guys,

i have a audi 2013 a6 saloon se i have halogen lights fitted i am looking to upgrade the rear lights to sline i have been told i need a wiring harness. i have been quoted £200
for the wiring and the coding dongle. do i require the coding dongle as i have access to vcds. and can i not make the loom.any help much appreciated.

I was thinking about the same but it is too expensive in total. You need to change head lights, wiring, coding, washers(all xenons need to have washers to pass MOT) and last thing you need to change is self levelling to be fully compliant.

The rule about headlight washers relates to the brightness not simply that it is Xenon. Following the facelift Audi has fitted Xenon as standard to the SE spec yet does not include washers as standard (as it did previously with the Xenon option). Apperently the lumen output of the FL lamp is below the threshold requiring washers as standard. Not sure if the pre-FL unit was brighter or simply that washers were included for marketing reasons

I am looking to do retrofit on my SE and can't seem to find a vendor/provider for wiring harness and dongle. Who did you get the quote from?
