    Hi All

    I have just bought a VW Golf 1.6 FSI (2007 - MK5)

Can someone please confirm if the mail ipod connector in the armrest is 30-pin?

Secondly, is it possible to connect a female connector to this ipod connector in the armrest to convert it to AUX. Purpose for doing this is to play music from mp3 via the AUX connection.

    Any responses much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Avi

Hey, it is 30 pin. I could t get a connected to convert it to aux, however, I did go to Maplin and get a wire with a cig lighter plug at one end and a headphone jack at the other. In the middle is a little radio frequency thing, you pick the same frequency on your radio as shown on the screen and it works just like an aux. Sound quality isn't amazing when it's very loud, but I have my bass quite high.
It's much easier than I've explained! Was £20!
