    Hi,

New to this forum and just got an Audi TT 225 (2003)

Went over to a mates over the weekend (2.5 hrs drive) no problems on the way there. Next day on the way back the power went all odd (accelerating was strange etc) AA came turns out it was the MAF sensor. They disconnected it told me what i needed to get new MAF.

Tried cleaning it after finding info on web. but was missing the little fuse wire (like attached pic below) So...fitted complete new Bosch MAF and still same issues? But again, runs ok when disconnected?? Part was bought from TSP (Trade Part Specialists) and I took old one it as they did a part-ex for this and they checked it was the same?

Any ideas please... or if someone has had the same issues??

    Cheers,

You need to know what the fault codes is/was BUT that will now be corrupted with it being run with the AMM disconected.

when the AA come out to a breakdown they either have to fix it or give a diagnostic. if they dont and just give up then that risks their bonus.

The other point is the AMM insert he fitted could be incorrect, faulty or even a forgery, all three of these are common problems with non genuine VAG AMM's. We will only fit genuine VAG complete exchange AMM units from TPS and I have even had these be faulty straight out of the box!
