Just a note to say thank you for all the advice and support I've received on the B5 section. Unfortunately after 10 years, my B5 2.5 TDI Quattro Avant is hopefully going to a new owner. I'll post a link in the for sale section.

I've bought an A4 Allroad Quattro 2.0 TDI with xenon headlights, sat-nav, leather, start-stop, and panoramic sunroof. Absolutely blew the budget, but it's mint with 30k miles, and they simply don't come up often.

I'd like to think who-ever buys my Amtrak locomotive is getting a great car. I couldn't trade it in as the dealer was offering pennies. Over the years I've rebuilt the suspension, stripped the brakes more times than I can remember and even got down and dirty by cleaning the air intake manifold. I've learnt a hell of a lot.

I sincerely hope it goes to an Audi enthusiast, as this car has simply never let me down and I'll be sorry to see it go. I've only ever had an engine management warning once, and it turned out to be oil sensor. I can honestly say it's been the best car I've ever owned. The 6-speed manual transmission is as tight as the day it left the factory. It doesn't use oil (probably because it gets oil changes every 10k), and its still on the original clutch. The coolant temperature sits at 90 degrees even when I'm towing. That's German engineering for you.
